Abstract.
The issue of the operation of the traction battery is one of the most fundamental questions in the field of research on battery vehicles with traction electric drive. The article highlights and describes the characteristic features of the operation of lithium-ion batteries in a wide range of operating temperatures. The authors note that it is necessary to limit the value of the battery thermal energy for optimal battery performance. As a result of the study, the authors conclude that it is necessary to have an I2t algorithm for limiting of the discharge current in the battery management system. The article provides a detailed description of the principle of operation of the I2t battery protection algorithm using a mathematical model as an example.

THE USE OF WEAR-RESISTANT CHROME PLATING IN THE RESTORATION AND STRENGTHENING OF CAR PARTS

Abstract.
The analysis of chrome plating electrolytes that are used for strengthening and restoring car parts, as well as road construction equipment, showed that they have a number of difficulties for use-the complexity of organizing and implementing them in production. So when using many chrome plating electrolytes, it is necessary to increase the area of the galvanic section to install additional equipment that will maintain the necessary operating temperature of the electrolyte, which requires additional energy consumption for the operation of powerful refrigeration units. As the base high-performance chrome plating electrolyte, the existing chrome plating electrolyte was taken, which, when the operating temperature of the electrolyte increases more than 30 °C, the performance and current output decreases, and the quality of the precipitate decreases. To solve this problem, the composition of the electrolyte was changed, which eliminated the existing shortcomings. As a result of the research, it was found that the new composition of the chrome plating electrolyte when used in the operating temperature range of 18–35 oC, will increase the current output up to 50 % and the deposition rate up to 450 mkm/h, while improving the quality of coatings in thickness, while maintaining high microhardness and wear resistance. When using a new electrolyte, one of the significant disadvantages will be eliminated – the complexity of using it in practice, as a result of the need to create the necessary conditions for electrolysis. Therefore, it will be possible to implement the developed electrolyte for strengthening and restoring machine parts.

Abstract.
The objective of the study was to create corrosion inhibitors capable of providing a high degree of protection for various metal structures, as well as automotive equipment by achieving maximum corrosion resistance in various climatic conditions. Due to insufficient provision of production facilities and enterprises with anticorrosive compounds, metal corrosion is one of the main economic losses of modern metal construction. Due to a decrease in the strength of metal structures in the process of being damaged by corrosion, their bearing capacity decreases up to 40 %, which adversely affects the safety of operation of metal structures affected by corrosion. There are many ways to combat corrosion, from coating the metal structure with a protective layer of paint or primer, to the introduction of zinc molecules into the metal molecules by the action of running electrons. But the least studied and most promising is the creation of inhibitors based on plant raw materials. Boron (B) is one of the substances worth paying attention to. Various vegetable oils became other supporting elements. They are designed to increase the protective capacity of borates. As a result of research, we got the opportunity to create corrosion inhibitors based on raw materials of plant origin for processing metal structures in order to extend their service life in various climatic conditions.

METHOD OF IMPROVING OPERATIONAL RELIABILITY OF COMPLEX TECH-NICAL FACILITY BY ANALYSIS OF ITS STRUCTURAL RELIABILITY

Abstract.
The article is devoted to the selection of the optimal type of replaceable quick-wearing element, the calculation is carried out for 3 versions of quick-wearing elements using the example of armor of a crushing cone. In studies on improving the reliability or productivity of crushing equipment, it is noted that during the working process, there is a change in the profile of the crushing space as the armor wears, which in turn inevitably leads to a decrease in productivity by 1.2 times. The method is based on the consideration of crushing and grinding equipment as a complex technical system, the analysis of structural elements that have the greatest impact on the reliability of operation, where the determining indicator is the probability of failure-free operation. The probability theory method is used to estimate the probability of failure-free operation of a critical element that limits reliability before its replacement. The authors consider the optimization of element substitutions according to the level of costs and reliability of replaced quick-wear elements for a complex technical object, based on probabilistic models for determining operating time before preventive replacement, which include the principle of "minimizing weighted average repair costs. Improving the reliability of this assembly and the overall performance of the equipment during operation depends largely on material selection.

Abstract.
The article considers some of the main reasons for the decrease in the effectiveness of the monitoring system of road machines (machines for construction, reconstruction, repair (capital, local), as well as maintenance of roads) in modern conditions. Main types of sensors installed on road machines for monitoring system operation, parameters controlled by them and peculiarities of their installation are considered. The reasons for the decrease in the effectiveness of the road machine monitoring system have been analyzed and evaluated. The substantiation of the insufficiency and necessity of scientific support in the analysis of the work of the monitoring system of road vehicles is given. Indicated the scientific problems that are solved in the scientific approach when studying the operation of the monitoring system of road machines. The purpose of this article is to identify serious shortcomings, give a professional assessment of them and justify the need for scientific support for the further development of the vital and necessary monitoring system of road machines. The article can be useful and interesting for those who are related to the operation of any road vehicles.

Abstract.
This article presents ways to optimize the construction process, taking into account the completion and renewal of the construction equipment park by the enterprise and the nature of its operation. The task of building an enterprise with its machine park should be considered as a complex system that includes the entire set of management objects and equipment interacting as a whole. In the course of the operation of the machine park, the production and technical characteristics of construction equipment act as methods of scientific and practical analysis of its potential. Among the measures to optimize the construction and establish the effective operation of the machine park of the enterprise, the author names the provision of the possibility of performing mechanized work on its own, transfer of equipment to financial and operational leasing, service of leased machines, production and sale of various types of mechanization means; production and sale of building materials, etc. The need for the compliance of the fleet of machines with the planned production and construction program, modern requirements of technical standards, as well as full workload of the machine fleet of the enterprise with a high level of service, high-quality information and technical support, and the presence of highly qualified personnel is especially noted. As applied to practice, the efficiency of the machine park of a construction organization is determined by the ratio of the actual results of its activities and those potentially possible in the current market conditions with the maximum rationalization of the organizational structure of the entire production process.

Abstract.
Currently, in the largest cities and megalopolises of the world there is a significant increase in the construction of underground structures for various purposes. In conditions of dense urban development and heavy traffic, in most cases, the construction of tunnels is carried out in closed ways, ensuring minimal disruption of the urban environment. When constructing short (up to 200-300 m) transport and pedestrian tunnels under roads and railways, utilities and other obstacles, the most effective method of pushing. This is evidenced by the successful experience of its application in a number of cities in Russia, England, Germany, Japan, Vietnam and other countries. To ensure safe tunneling using the punching method, it is necessary to predict possible deformations of the soil mass and the earth's surface at various stages of the tunnel construction. It is known that the nature of the manifestation and the intensity of deformations of the "tunnel - soil mass" system depends mainly on engineering and geological factors. In this regard, studies of the influence of both individual factors and their combination are required. This article presents the main results of research by the method of mathematical modeling using the PLAXIS 3D - TUNNEL software package. A matrix for planning a numerical experiment was developed and studies were carried out on 21 models. The research results were processed by the method of multiple linear regression, which made it possible to establish a relationship between the factors under consideration and the maximum deformations of the earth's surface. The research results can be used in Russia, Vietnam and other countries in predicting the deformed state of the soil mass, caused by the tunneling of shallow urban tunnels by the punching method.

Abstract.
The article presents an opportunity to assess the state of highways in the Republic of Iraq and the possibility of using the technology of regeneration of asphalt concrete for further use as a base for road pavements when they are strengthened. methods of restoring old asphalt concrete and the results of a study of shear stability of asphaltogranulo concrete with the addition of cement and an aqueous solution of a plasticizer. The proposed compositions can be used to strengthen the structures of road pavements, to increase the strength and shear resistance of road surfaces. In order to protect the environment and minimize the cost of repairs, technologies have emerged that provide for the reuse of asphalt pavement material - this technology is cold reclamation in a plant that is not used in Iraq.

CRITERIAS FOR PAVEMENT DESIGNING WITH HIGH STRENGTH AND DURA-BILITY

Abstract.
The article discusses the methodology of designing road pavements for roads, the basis of which is a set of criteria that reflect the requirements for the designed object and the working conditions of the object during its operation. The requirements for road pavement of roads are formulated: long service life without repairs; continuous admission of all the main types of vehicles included in the traffic stream, with calculated speeds and regardless of the natural conditions of the terrain; ensuring the safety of car traffic in all weather conditions. Based on these requirements, pavements should be strong, durable and "safe" when driving cars. The indicated qualities of pavement can be ensured only based on a set of criteria for its design, which fully take into account and reflect the working conditions of pavement. The working conditions of the pavement, which depend and are determined by numerous technogenic and natural factors, are called the “environment for its habitation”. The article presents the results of the analysis of the state of the “environment” of road pavements of roads during the creation of industry regulatory documents for their design, shows the conformity of the criteria system of the road pavement environment formulated at that time. The following describes the habitat of pavements at the present time: changes in traffic, construction of pavements, and conditions of moistening of the subgrade are noted. The necessity of bringing the criteria-based design system in line with the new environment is shown. New design criteria have been substantiated: strength, durability and vehicle safety. The problem is considered comprehensively: the formation of a complex (group of complementary) criteria, and a quantitative assessment of the criteria for the purpose of creating a solid pavement structure with the required durability and ensuring the safety of vehicles. The decoding of the content of the design criteria is given. Attention is drawn to indicators characterizing the technical level of the criteria (i.e., ensuring the technical level of pavement) and methods for assessing them. The question is raised about the possibility of returning to use in designing clothes according to the criterion of strength of the deformation modulus instead of the elastic modulus. Estimated indicators of the criteria of durability (fatigue of the structure and materials) and traffic safety (texture of the surface of the road surface) are proposed.

Abstract.
The article describes the advantages of using foamed bitumen in the process of cold regeneration of the road surface. The process of foaming bitumen in a system that is integrated into the processor for cold regeneration is described, and the technological scheme of this process is shown. Within the framework of the scientific project No. 20-58-53021 "design Method and theoretical study of the combination of equipment for the production of foamed bitumen and machines for road surface regeneration", with the financial support of the RFBR and the state fiscal service of China, the authors of this article conducted research on the characteristics of foaming bitumen. The article describes the process of the conducted research and justifies the results obtained. Parameters that provide the best foaming performance were used to test samples of regenerated asphalt concrete of several types for tensile strength before splitting in dry and wet conditions, in order to determine the optimal proportion of addition of foamed bitumen to the material under study during cold regeneration of the road surface. The article describes the process of these tests, presents and justifies the optimal proportions of foamed bitumen obtained by engineering processing of test results for each of the tested materials. Based on the conducted research, the goals and objectives of further research within the framework of this scientific project are formulated.

Abstract.
The article presents an approach to managing the operational and technical condition of airfield pavements. Collected information about the current and planned flight intensity and workload of the runway strip was analyzed, and types of coating defects were identified. A progressive concept of coating condition management is proposed, the introduction of which is aimed at ensuring safety, reliability and durability. This concept is necessary in order to extend the life of pavements; it is based on monitoring, which consists in ensuring periodic monitoring of technical parameters established for a particular object, such as: strength characteristics of layer materials, surface evenness, types of defects, defect volumes, defect growth rates, indices conditions and others. Based on the monitoring data and the source data for the facility, three options for the runway strip pavement state management strategy were formed, based on various technological approaches to the organization of restoration measures. The experimental data on the implementation of the progressive concept presented in the article confirm the effectiveness of its application in practice by the example of maintaining the condition of the coatings of the operating runway in the period after the standard service life with ensuring flight safety until the element is closed for reconstruction. The results of the methodological studies and experience of their application are recommended for use in the development of industry regulatory documents.

CONCRETE AERODROME PAVEMENT SUBGRADE STRENGTH ANALYSIS

Abstract.
The article addresses the strength condition of concrete aerodrome pavement subgrade under load of modern superheavy aircraft. The results of a numerical study of the relationship between the maximum subgrade contact pressure and the elastic characteristic of the slab for the standard load categories and aircraft landing gears are presented. Calculations have shown that the B777-300ER, B777-300 and B777-200 superheavy aircraft maximum contact pressure exceeds the non-category standard load pressure. The A330-200 and A321-100 aircraft maximum contact pressure does not normally exceed the non-category load pressure. For the specified types of aircraft, concrete pavement structures were designed based on the bending strength of concrete. The values of the soil compressive stress and the maximum allowable pressure are determined for the designed structures. Analysis of the calculation results showed that the silt sandy loam and clay subgrade strength is insufficient for superheavy aircraft. It is recommended to design the concrete pavement structure according to the structural bending strength criterion and to the subgrade allowable stress criterion for superheavy aircraft, the load of which exceeds the non-category standard load.

COMPARISON OF ROAD ASPHALT CONCRETE DESIGNED ACCORDING TO DIFFERENT STATE STANDARDS TO JUSTIFY THEIR DESIGN CHARACTERISTICS WHEN DESIGNING PAVEMENTS

Abstract.
Over the past several years, several regulatory documents for road asphalt concrete have been in effect in Russia at the same time. The new GOST R 58406.2-2020, which has come into force, is mainly used on the network of federal highways. Road asphalt concretes regulated by GOST R 58406.2-2020 differ significantly from asphalt concrete from GOST 9128-2013, for which design characteristics for the design of road pavements are justified and established. For asphalt concrete from GOST R 58406.2-2020, the proposed and currently used design characteristics do not have proper scientific justification and are not supported by a research base. The article proposes to use a graphical-analytical method for determining the degree of conformity of asphalt-concrete mixtures and asphalt-concrete, designed according to different regulatory documents. A methodological approach to the study has been developed and the results of the analysis of the general classification characteristics of asphalt concrete have been demonstrated, which will allow in the future to substantiate the design characteristics of asphalt concrete from GOST R 58406.2-2020 for calculating road pavements for strength.

TO THE QUESTION OF RELIABILITY ASSESSMENT OF CARS, PERFORMING PASSENGER TRANSPORTATION IN BURUNDI

Abstract.
The article examines topical transport problems in the countries of the East African Community: Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and South Sudan. The analysis of vehicles carrying out passenger transportation in tropical conditions is presented. The role of road transport, as the main mode of transport, playing the role of an integrator of the economies of the Community states and performing the bulk of passenger transportation, both within each of the countries and between countries, has been determined. The dynamics of population growth in the countries of the East African Community and the dynamics of an increase in demand for vehicles performing passenger transportation are presented. The features of the operation, maintenance and current repair of vehicles operating in the countries of the East African Community are shown. Examples of the influence of road and climatic conditions on the operation of vehicles and their technical condition are given. The distribution of the country's car fleet by type and age structure of vehicles is shown, represented by the main models (ISUZU and TOYOTA COASTER) in the state motor transport company OTRACO, which carries out passenger transportation in Burundi. The main reasons for failures of units and systems are considered on the example of buses and spare parts. On the basis of the performed statistical analysis of the mean time between failures, histograms of the performed replacement of parts are constructed. Information on operating time is presented with differentiation by intervals with the determination of the highest and lowest values of the indicator.

Abstract.
The article is devoted to the analysis of the possibilities of tracking the benchmarks of the implementation of the transport strategy until 2030, namely, the indicator of the commercial speed of cargo delivery, through the use of navigation systems for dispatching international road transport. Digitalization of the international cargo transportation industry allows you to accumulate an array of big data on the actual indicators of cargo movement by road. With the help of navigation systems, actual indicators are collected about the time the vehicle is in motion, downtime, and speed at various sections of the transport and logistics complex. These data are the basis for calculating benchmarks for the development Strategy of the transport complex, using statistical and mathematical methods for processing primary indicators of cargo movement in the transport and logistics complex.

Abstract.
Active involvement of information and commutative (digital) technologies into present-day framework of transportation systems requires development of theoretical grounds for software creation. This is the software which is aimed to determine the index of formal efficiency in intelligent transportation systems (ITS); process big data of ITS; analyze the ITS functioning environment by the means of artificial intelligence algorithms, analytical analogues of neural networks, and etc. Being a complex system, ITS is defined by a large set of formalized indicators (from a data base) and necessitates the search of efficient solutions against quite significant number of criteria or signs of efficiency. Getting trustworthy solutions in multi-criteria information situations poses objective difficulties. In most cases, modern mathematical models artificially turn multi-criteria information situations into single-criterion categories. Such an approach, being built on the use of integral criteria, has a substantial weakness – the use of integral criteria in order to obtain operation or processes efficiency results in complex systems is characterized by the high subjectivity rates. In this case, the final result might be acceptable but not an objective one. That is why, it is ought to elaborate mathematical models for solving multi-criteria problems that would be eligible for problem-solving in intelligent transportation systems and suitable for operating in big data environment with the purpose of prompt reconfiguration of management system under uncertainty and/or possible resistance from external environment. This article contains results of elaborating mathematical methods of modelling that allow to build algorithms to further solve optimization problems, which, in their turn, are constructed in the form of multi-criteria models and are characterized by high uncertainty rates when being engaged in external environment.

Abstract.
The article considers the possibility of introducing zones with low emissions of pollutants as one of the tools of transport demand management to reduce emissions of pollutants into the air from road transport. Such zones are traffic management schemes aimed at restricting the entry of vehicles of low environmental classes on the territory of settlements, urban districts. Foreign experience of creation of zones with restriction of the entrance of vehicles of low ecological classes is analyzed and the assessment of possible influence of the specified zones on decrease in emissions of polluting substances is given. The main tools used in the framework of measures to manage transport demand, necessary to improve the environmental sustainability of transport systems. The analysis of the practice of introduction of zones with restriction of entry of vehicles of low ecological classes in foreign countries showed the important role of this event in the developed strategies for the management of transport demand. The estimation of possible ecological efficiency of introduction of a zone with low emissions in the center of Moscow is resulted. It is noted that Russia has a policy aimed at reducing emissions of pollutants and the formation of a sustainable transport system.

Abstract. The article emphasizes the importance of improving the technical and organizational level and ensuring sustainable financial condition of the transport industry to ensure the competitiveness of Russia, the impact of transport services on the most important aspects of the state development, as well as the importance of accelerated introduction of digital technologies to improve the quality of transport services. The main problems of the transport industry, which in the first place include: insufficient investment in rolling stock and innovative projects, are revealed; the low level of financial and economic indicators of the transport industry; organizational, methodological and financial unavailability of many enterprises of the transport industry for the implementation of innovative projects, etc. Considered the possibility of resolving many of them using digital technologies in order to implement the adopted on this issue of legal acts, Programs and decrees of the President. The authors assess the main digital investment projects implemented in the transport industry in terms of their impact on the financial performance of enterprises. The importance of establishing a business risk management system based on the information base and using modern methods of data processing, forecasting, evaluation and analysis is emphasized. The possibilities and risks of using cryptocurrencies and technologies of the distributed register, allowing: to replace intermediaries between users of currencies; to reduce transaction costs; to provide simplicity, speed and safety of cash payments; to use online platforms for investment of temporarily free funds in financial market instruments, are revealed.
